STUN Fantasy Draft Reminder

Just wanted to remind everyone taking part in the fantasy league this year that the draft for the league is this Sunday, August 12th at 10:30 am CENTRAL STANDARD TIME (just to avoid any confusion on the time).

We had a great time with the league last year and we are looking forward to this year. So be sure and get logged onto nfl.com in time for the draft on Sunday morning so Brian Im can begin defense of the Sports Talk Underground Network Fantasy Football (or STUNFF is you prefer) Championship.

I have a problem.

That's 1:30 AM on Monday morning for me.

If you could make it Saturday night, that'd be perfect. Otherwise, I won't be able to make it.

Just a quick question,

When I log in at the moment I can't see a link to the draft room.

According to the oh so helpful help it tells me that

So if I am reading this right, we have 12 owners but we haven't flipped over to "ready to draft". When do we change to "ready to draft"?

I'm guessing on draft day, not too long before we start drafting. I don't know though; I've never played at NFL.com before, so I could be talking out of my ass.

Max, I'd be willing to change the draft day and time. I think we run into the problem of we have 3 groups of people in very different locations (US, UK, and Australia). If we did a Saturday night one (like at ten central) then we'd have to hope rockhoppers wants to do the draft at 5am I think on sunday morning. I'm up for change. Let's get some chatter on here to figure it out.

I too will be at church that morning. But I was just gonna work around it by giving my dad my rankings and letting him draft because auto draft screwed me with like 6 running backs last year in a rarn league. SO needless to say I wouldn't mind a date or time change. Most times will work for me

Yea, that RARN league's autodraft was the worst. Was that ESPN? They purposely gave you crap. It was so odd the picks that it had lined up for me

Unfortunately, I can not change the draft time and date because at this point it's too late. Arg! Remember to rank your players!

That is pain, needless to say the current time works fine for me...

I was screwed by auto drafting last year but that was down to my inability to tell the difference between pacific and eastern time

I had a bit of a further look on the help and I think the link appears and draft order either 24 hours or 48 hours before the draft?

If not, your league will receive an email explaining that you must have enough owners as of 24 hours prior to your draft date. If you have the required number of owners in time, the draft order will be generated the day of your draft. If not, your league will be disbanded and each owner will have to join or create another league.) Once the draft order has been generated, it can be viewed by clicking on League Home, Rules.

That's actually good. I wasn't crazy about the fact that we had to log into Yahoo and ESPN right before the draft to get the draft order. It's a little easier to think strategy when you know where you fall in the order.

Why are you using NFL.com anyways? We could always use Yahoo, or ESPN, and have another league.

I don't like ESPN at all. Yahoo doesn't allow divisions.
