Here is the picks page for the College Bowl Confidence Pool we are doing this year. I will have a standings graphic up after we get a few of the games under our belt (which will probably be by the end of the weekend).

It's a hell of a lot easier to update the Excel spreadsheet that I am keeping all of the information on than it is to update that MASSIVE image I made for the pool. The one that is up is actually HALF the size of the one I made, it's huge. It doesn't even have all of the right information on it anymore. Picks have been changed, values are different, etc. Anyway, here's the link:

The sheet has three tabs. One for all of our picks with our point values along with the results up to this point; the correct picks are highlighted in bold. The second is a tally of the points. The third tab is for the standings.

I will update this page again after the handful of games that are being played today and again after tomorrows games, and so on.

Pool Standings has been updated to include yesterday's results. Irish Boy is still on top.

Irish Boy still the leader, but I fear Nas. He still has all of his really big values still out there and could make a big jump in the standings if things go in his favor.

One more update before the weekend. Two meaningless lower-tier games this weekend before Monday nights Title game.

I forgot to update the win/loss records but the confidence points are up to date. Irish Boy is still our leader.

Final results are in and Irish Boy went 0-for the last few games and blew his lead. Nas' strategy of going 1-32 from top to bottom with his picks nearly paid off...he finished second.

No, in the end it was Ryan Simmons who tops the leader board with a 22-10 win/loss record and 386 confidence points. Nas and Mark tied for second with identical 21-11 win/loss records and 361 points. Irish Boy's downward spiral was good enough for 4th place. Coast tied Simmons for the best win/loss record, but could only muster 359 points which earned him 5th place. I finished in sixth with a 21-11 record, but only 358 points. And Max brought up the rear with a 19-13 record and only 325 points.

The bowl season was pretty boring and uneventful. Except for the Orange Bowl (Kansas/VT) not one of the BCS games was competitive and the games that were, no one really cared about. Florida and Michigan was the only good game that featured teams from big conferences.

Despite all of that, I had fun with our little competition, even if I came in 6th. I hope you will all return to take part next year.
