We all know the Big Ten is poorly managed. Delaney's reign of error has been a total joke. Here is another example. They have had a ref with big problems for years, but they've done nothing.

I was about to get started on making a page for a college football confidence game and I wanted to know who all would be interested in taking part.

There are 32 bowl games this year so we'd obviously be ranking them from 1-32, the one with the most points after the BCS Title game wins.

I assume most, if not all, of the Pro Football picks panel will be taking part. Does anybody else want in? I just want to know how many spots to leave on the page for picks.

Since the first bowl ...

Looks like another dismal December and January for the Little Eleven. The three highest profile games for the Big Ten all shape up to be blowout losses. Humiliation is on the horizon for the weakest BCS conference (this year) in the land.

Ohio State vs. LSU? This would be funny if it weren't so sad. Ohio State had the cupcake of all cupcake schedules this year. Tressel is again rewarded for scheduling nobody of consequence for non-conference games. They played only two teams in the ...

Just checked out the results of the 1st round of the I-AA playoffs and I just found what I consider to be proof that a playoff system is needed in "Big College" football.

The No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the country both lost their 1st round matchups and No. 1 Northern Iowa nearly lost as well. And in the case of No. 2 McNeese State, they were blown out 44-15 by No. 14 Eastern Washington at home. And last year's champion Appalachian State held off James Madison to advance to the second ...

Looks like Comcast cable subscribers are not going to get the new Big Ten network this season. It's unfortunate that, living in Big Ten country, we don't read the real truth about Jim Delany, the negotiations for the BTN and the impasse with Comcast. All we get are the Big Ten Network talking points. The Big Ten regional media doesn't take Delany to task for this monumental failure in negotiations. Why is it that zero media scribes or broadcast interviewers have put him on the spot and asked ...

A DIII school in Texas is down with 2 seconds to go and somehow manages to lateral it about a dozen or so times, if not more, to win the game. It's pretty good, check it out.

Give Him Six! This Week In College Football

A little trivia quiz to kick off the season. If you like this, I'll try to invent some questions for future weeks. Answers are at the end. (Don't peek).

1. The Georgia Tech-Notre Dame series has had a few historic encounters. The first meeting between these teams marked what occasion? The last time GT travelled to South Bend marked another famous occasion. What were they?

2. Illinois is ranked #1 in what current national ranking of college ...
