I'm curious where everyone is at with their optimism. For me as a Colts fan, I feel like they can get right back to the Superbowl with a healthy pass rushing attack. I'm a little concerned about the Marvin Harrison thing, but as far as it effecting the whole team I don't see Dungy letting that happen. I think they'll be contenders again. Damn those Chargers.

SOMERVILLE, N.J. (AP) ? A former Bears offensive lineman was one of five men arrested over the weekend in a bust of an alleged Internet gambling operation.

Authorities say 37-year-old Todd Burger collected gambling debts for suspect Anthony "Cheese" Pecoraro.

Burger played for the Chicago Bears from 1993 to 1997, starting 24 games. He was signed by the Bears as a free agent after playing at Penn State.

This year if in the remaining three games each Qb averages 250 yards there could be up to 8 Qb's over 4,000 yards

Last year 5 players were over 1500 yards

this year if in the remaining three games each rb averages 100 yards there could be up to 2 Rb's over 1500 yards

has everyone gotten in a throwing frenzy? Has pass defenses gotten worse? offense line's now terrible at rush blocking?

Anyone want to throw out a reason?

I watched all of it and was very Proud of how the offense and the defense stepped up'd and played. I will admit that the ravens punted too much in the fourth quarter and gave the Patriots several chances. But on the final drive there may have been questionable calls, including the touchdown. But there are two things that get me about that drive.

1. I believe (don't know exactly though) that only a player on the field and the HEAD COACH can call a timeout, NOT a DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR. ...

The Toronto and Southern Ontario area is basically Bills Country anyways, and it would be an opportunity for the Bills to get out of a declining market into a fresh, hungry one. Not that I would wish it upon the city of Buffalo, but if it means that I'll get a home NFL team to root for, I'm all for it.

I hate the Pats...

With that said I think they are going to school the Colts this weekend. Colts have been playing great and flying underneath the radar. They are playing great defense, but the Patriots are a team of destiny. They are destined to destroy every team they face...

I think they are pissed they lost that AFC Championship game last year. So expect Bill, Tom, and Randy to run up the score and throttle Peyton...

Sorry Ryan, I know you are a Peyton (sprint commercial fan...) ...

I was at the game yesterday and just finished reading the comments through out. I agree with a lot of things said and I'd just like to add some other observations and probably make some of the same.

- From my seats at the game (which were pretty decent btw) the Bears did not look like this was a game they wanted to win more than the Lions. They looked completely uninspired and like they were just going through the motions.

- As bad as the Bears played, I can’t believe they still could ...

Common now kick a freaking field goal. Don't be a jerk. AND they have done something like this in almost every game.

And once you have like a 21 pt lead why are you still throwing it 3 out of 4 times?

I am sure most of you know, but there have been several reports that visiting communications often stop working during the game at Gillette Stadium. It was reported that that happened again ...

They start the year 0-6 before trading away their best receiver, Chris Chambers, last week. Trent Green's doctors refuse to clear him and is put on injured reserve. Then they get taken to the woodshed and then some against New England and in the process lost their ONLY bright spot for the season.

Ronnie Brown tore his ACL, I think trying to make a tackle on an interception return, and he is officially done for the season. The Dolphins are 0-7, their once vaunted defense has been showing ...

Skins coach Joe Gibbs said this week that the Redskins were the “biggest underdog in the history of sports”. They aren’t of course. They aren't even the biggest underdog this year in football. Heck not even this month. Joe apparently has learned from the players how to play the disrespect card.

Last night's Jacksonville debacle reminds us again that most NFL teams do not have competent backup quarterbacks. Actually, several teams don't have competent starting quarterbacks either. Why is this? With all the pretty good college QBs that come out in any given year, why do so few QBs succeed in the NFL? Maybe the NFL is selecting the wrong kinds of kids and giving the wrong kind of athletes the opportunity to play in the league. Maybe there are many other kids who could have been successes, ...

Quote:“My knee ain't never hurt like it hurt today,” Johnson said. “If you want to hit me, hit me in my head, hit me in my chest, don't hit me in my knee."

Green's low blow could have cost this man his career. Johnson wasn't in a position to make a play, but Trent went for the kill shot anyway. There's heavy QB favoritism in the NFL. If Johnson was taken out by a player of any other position they ...
