I am thoroughly surprised by your NFC West. 11-5 St. Louis, 10-6 San Fran???? thats alittle high for me. that division will be the closest, but not that high. Talk about playing it safe for D-Player of the year, Shawne Merriman is everybody's pick for it. I just don't see him being THAT amazing again.

I actually never noticed the best record team the previous year won the superbowl. its happened with the colts, steelers, and the Patriots. Now I think the coaching turn over will effect the San Diego to put them around 12-4 13-3, not in the super bowl though.

Bears winning it? lol Chargers are a better the Bears. The Chargers D is ALMOST as good as the Bears D, and their offense is better then the Bears. LT or Ced Benson? Rivers or Grossman? Olsen or Gates? Bears probably do have better Wr's. Bears continue Super Bowl Loser streak(seattle changed it some but just too not making the bowl again) Bears Loose in NFC championship .

The Bengals win the division, Carson Palmer for MVP, New England not making the big game and the Ravens don't even make the playoffs?

I don't know if I can totally get behind the Bears beating out the Chargers for the Super Bowl crown. That just doesn't seem likely at all. As much as I still think Rivers is mostly a glorified babysitter at this point, he's at least more consistent than Rex Grossman. I worry a little about the switch to Griese. He looks better than Rex in the pre-season, but can he sustain a high level of play? A lot of backups look really good when they first come in, but after a few weeks, it becomes obvious why they're backups. Hopefully I'm totally wrong and it'll all work out fine. It's hard to say that they'll be able to win it all if they can't cement their QB position.

And by the way, that is the worst John Madden impression ever. I mean, EVER. I think I do a better Madden impression than that.

jd, I'll need to go back and check on that. I went through the entire schedule marking wins and losses to come up with my predictions.

I'm looking forward to week 1 games this Sunday. Actually Oklahoma and Miami is about to start so I guess the football weekend for me is about to kickoff.
