The Price is Right

Just read a press release stating that CBS has chosen Drew Carey to be the next host of the Price is Right. It doesn't say when he will be making his first appearance as the host, but he confirmed on last night on Letterman that he did in fact get the gig.

It also said that Barker was host for 35 years and recorded 6,586 episodes.

I hope Drew Carey can at least do well enough to keep the show on the air for years to come, not that I don't think he will do well. But I have very fond memories of getting up in the summer, or staying home sick from school and watching the Price is Right. It almost felt like you had wasted that day off if you didn't watch the show. I hope Carey does well, I've always liked him.

Wonder if all the ladies will still run up there and kiss that ugly mug.

Drew Carey is...yeah, anyway. I suppose he'll do a good job. I don't know though. If I'm home, sick in bed, and I'm watching daytime TV, I don't know that I'd want to watch him. But I could be wrong. It remains to be seen.

Drew Carey is great. He's a good host.

BTW, did you hear how many people were lined up to see Bob Barker's last "Price of Right"? People were out all night for it. The first one in line? The Grim Reaper.
