Atlanta Braves

I can't come back and not sing the praises of the A Braves, notwithstanding their 10-3 ass whupping last night. A slashed payroll, and mostly Georgia homegrown talent and they are still right there with the Mets who can't get their heads out of their asses on a good day. I went and saw the Braves on Sunday over the weekend, for anyone who doesn't know, they have two cornerstone guys who are two of the best young players out there in Jarrod Saltalamachia and Jeff Francoeur. The crowd went nuts for these guys, but especially the ladies.

Wow, 10-3! I'm so torn about that. The Reds fan in me is stoked. The Jeff Francoeur fantasy baseball owner, not so much.

Eh, I'll go with the Reds fan. Yay!

Too bad Andruw Jones is stinking up the place. If he really wants that big deal at the end of the season, he sure isn't helping himself out.

That has really been a suprise this year, playing in a contract year, I thought for sure he'd have a monster year before tailing off big time after signing the big deal. I'm actually optimistic that the Braves end up keeping him, he's been with the team since he was 17.
