Some people might scratch their head about the Mets but they're Yankees Jr. Obnoxious place to play, ownership that puts unnecessary pressure on players/coaches and a team that ESPN ass-kisses along with the Yankees, Red Sox, Duke basketball and pretty much any football team. I've got nothing against Duke or football but watch the preseason basketball games: Duke vs. South A&M Blind Nuns Tech State will be on a couple times. And football is obviously the most popular sport, which is fine.

Now A-Rod opts out of Yankees contract. He'll probably go to Boston or try to ride the coattails of someone who can bring him a ring. Wouldn't it be great if we could get A-Rod on the same teams as Bonds, Jeff Kent and Kevin Millar? What a circus that would be. That'd be some real team chemistry.

Sigh...time for the hot stove season.

I know they'll take the winning part but the exact thing they complain about with the Yankees is what they've become no matter what Theo Epstein says.

Yea most red sox fans will deny their yankeeness. Not necessarily the yankees of now, but the yankees of when they were winning. The Yankee's over spent but still had some homegrown talent. The sox say the don't over spend.

It's amazing how fast the baseball world has turned on the Red Sox. That's what the second biggest payroll and two world championships in 3 years will do.

In other news, Edgar Renteria was traded to the Tigers today. Apparently, Carlos Guillen is going to play first base...which leaves Sean Casey...where? Unless Sheffield will play OF and Casey goes to the DH.
