Taking the week off

I decided that I'm not going to do a Larry From The Underground this week.

And before any of you go jumping to conlcusions, this is not about the response I got from episode 17.

To tell the truth it's because there really isn't anything "new" going on right now. The same topics have dominated the headlines for the last couple of weeks and I'm tired of talking about the same stuff every week.

So I'm taking the week off and getting ready for the last batch of NFL Preview shows for STU that Simmons and I will be recording this weekend.

Hopefully some fresh headlines will come forth next week or the lightbulb goes on for a Main Event or something.

So until next week...

I'm gonna have to catch up what you've been doing your shows on since I havent dl'd in awhile.

Larry's taking the week off 'cause his shipment of KISS condoms was delayed, and this was to be the field test show.

There was a delay in my KISS condom shipment, how did you know?

If nothing else new comes up next week then maybe I'll make bobwiley a happy lady by finally telling everyone why it is I am such a die-hard KISS fan. He's been dying to know for a while.

My only explanation up to this point is "either you get it, or you don't."

Maybe next week, I'll tell bob, and the rest of you, what IT is.

Without getting into too much detail, I have a box of U2 condoms...funny I got them on the "POP" tour. I don't know why that's funny, shame on me.

Interesting. The POP tour was what, 8 years ago or so? Not much action for a CardinalHoosiers Packers fan in this new century

I can honestly say I would never buy U2 nor use U2 condoms

I like U2 the band, but I think I would be wary of the condoms; they're probably more than a little bit on the self-righteous side. I don't need that sort of thing in a prophylactic.

I'm sure they get the job done. Bono big on that whole not spreading the seed and/or getting AIDS these days.

And whodey, CPH is the main reason U2 is my favorite band now and of all time today. For whatever reason, my close friends are freaks about their bands.

Don't let Simmons fool you. He's a freak about U2 just as much as I am; he's also a big Shania Twain freak. I bet he dresses like Shania for halloween...or just for fun around the house.

I like how Simmons acts all "above" buying U2 condoms here. I guarantee he would. And if there was any reason he wouldn't buy them, it would be due to the fact there was no opportunity to use them.

Nothing wrong with being rabid about a band. I feel that way about Phish. I still haven't quite gotten over their breakup back in '04. I still love them. They were beyond awesome.

Perfectly understandable to draw the line at themed condoms. If you have to turn your bed into Disney World, you have bigger problems, I'd think.
