2007 NFL Prediction Competiton Update

If you remember way back at the start of the season we started a prediction competition. With all teams now having played 9 games I thought this would be a good opportunity to post an update on how things are going. I have used the stats as of now along with the 4 wild cards, the only things I am not scoring on yet are MVP's, the AFC/NFC champs and the Superbowl winners. Obviously all these standings can change as the only points actually acquired so far are for the "Favre watch" with 15 points going to Max, Larry, Chus, Borsky and jdburlin.

The table has an international feel with Max in Australia Max riding high at the top of the table, and rockhoppers in the UK sitting on the bottom. There is still a long way to go, with some of our picks looking rather silly - good luck for the next 7 weeks everyone and into the post season.

I was sort of hoping this thing would be forgotten about :)

Some of the scores are now set but there are still 45 points up for grabs - the conference and superbowl champs and the MVP's.

So the standings as of today are

However, for the pack chasing Max jdburlin and Chus have a combination of the Ravens, Saints and the Bears so can't get any points for those and Borsky can only get 10 points if the Pats win the AFC, so Max's only real challenger is Greg with the Colts against Max's Patriots. Basically if either of those win the Superbowl that should clinch victory for Max or Greg.

With the way my picks turned out in the NFC, I'm surprised that it turned out to be as high as it did.
