Answers1. The first GT-Notre Dame game in 1922 marked the debut of the
Four Horsemen of Notre Dame. Coached by Knute Rockne , the Four Horsemen backfield consisted of Don Miller, Elmer Layden, Jim Crowley and Harry Stuhldreher.
The last time GT went to South Bend, in 1975, Dan "Rudy" Ruettiger made his memorable sack on the the game's final play in the final home game of his senior year. Ruettiger, a 5-foot-6, 165-pound walk-on and defensive end (yes, THAT Rudy) sacked Georgia Tech quarterback Rudy Allen on the game's final play. Joe Montana was the Irish quarterback.
2. The Fulmer Cup, a ranking of college football teams based on arrests during the offseason. The season starts Thursday, so the Cup is officially awarded on Wednesday. Teams accumulate 1 point for a misdemeanor charge and 3 points for a felony charge. Illinois finished the offseason ranked #1 with 25 points. For a rundown of the Fulmer Cup, see
