| One of my favorite things that we did from time to time on the other board was listing of our top ten (Subject title here). I thought those were fun. So I was thinking that as my Main Event for next week I would do a few Top Fives for you guys. The only catch is, you guys are going to decide what those top fives are going to be. So dig deep people, they can be as general or specific as you like. They can also be sports related or non-sports related, it's all up to you. And don't be afraid to post them here, it may give someone else an idea for another one. I'd like to a few of them and you guys have a week to get them to me. So let's have some fun with this. Thanks in advance for your help..... NOW GET TO WORK!!

| I can do that, sure.
But like the title of the thread says I want to do a LISTENER DRIVEN SHOW where you guys pick the topics you want to hear me talk about.
I liked doing the top tens on our other board and wondered if there were any other subjects that you guys would like to hear me cover in a top five or something like that.
I can do the "find interesting stories" thing, I have done that, doing it tonight as a matter of fact. I just thought that every once in a while you guys would like to tell me what you'd like to hear about.

| I am (or at least was until Jack was born) a big reader, so here is my top 5 fiction books - (sorry Whodey not a Harry Potter in sight) 1. Stephen King - IT 2. Terry Prachett (I will take the discworld series but if pushed Guards! Guards!) 3. Joseph Heller - Catch 22 4. Arthur C. Clarke 2001: A Space Odyssey 5. Stephen King - The Stand - The book I wanted the pile of crap The Cell to be Man it is tough limiting it to 5, the Hitch-hikers guide should be in there somewhere. I am sure when I get home and look at my book shelves there are some missing... | |

| Oh, Harry Potter wouldn't be in my top five either. Top Ten, maybe, but not top five. J.K. Rowling has this thing about using the same word twice in one sentence that makes me want to pull my hair out at times.
But since we're on fiction books, here's my top five (and let me say, as a rather voracious reader, making this list was stupid hard):
1. Marion Zimmer Bradley - The Mists of Avalon 2. Steve Martin - Shopgirl 3. Pearl S. Buck - The Good Earth 4. Tom Perrotta - Little Children 5. Amy Tan - The Joy Luck Club
Hitchhiker's Guide would be in my top ten as well, and I think Catch-22 would fall somewhere in my top 20. Not much of a Stephen King fan though. I find his books frightfully dull, owing to them being a little too heavy on the exposition for my tastes.

Well, that one sticks out like a sore thumb, doesn't it? I wonder what it says about me that I could probably come up with those easier than I could come up with any of the other lists?

Lots to talk about this week, should be a fun show this week.

| Hmmm, still think I like the 17th century Italian architecture question best of all.
I mean, that's a no-brainer. I'm all over that one.
But thanks anyway Meathorse.

| Why would you use fresh water for corpse disposal? Salt water eats away the body so much faster...
I'm told.
Um...
Hey, look at that!

| This is getting good, I like it. Some good ideas going on here.
I was worried that I might have to cancel the segment and do something else, but you guys are coming through for me (*Ahem* Meathorse).
I'm not doing the show until tomorrow night so you guys have until then to get me anymore ideas. But I'm really liking what I'm getting from you guys now.
Keep it up. | |

| Wow,
Looks like I'm gonna have to change from the Top 5 segment to the Meathorse segment.
I'll see which of those I can crank out a top 5 to and post the results for all to hear tomorrow morning.
Looking forward to the chaos provided by our new friend Meathorse, should be fun.

| Alright kiddies,
I am off for the day, headed home to record episode 16 of the show. The Main Event should really be something thanks to Meathorse who provided 99% percent of what I'll be covering tonight.
Other topics I will cover: Evander Holyfield's lastest comeback Bill Walsh KG Trade Cubs make it to 1st place (maybe)
And some other stuff I'll throw in for random thoughts.
See you guys tomorrow. | |

| Episode Sixteen has been uploaded and is available for all to hear. I think the Top 5 Main Event turned out pretty well considering I ended up doing about a dozen or so of them.
And even though I did about 20 minutes on the Top 5 lists, I managed to keep the show under 45 minutes somehow. I was amazed when I saw that.
Anyway, it is up on both ipodnetworks.com and mypodcast.com and should be available on iTunes shortly.
Let me know what you guys think.
